There will be many things for you to do and see in just one day. Visit the Palace, the Capitol, the Wythe House, the Peyton Randolph House, the Courthouse where you could take part in a trial. Tour as many historic trade sites as you can fit in: the milliner, the wig maker, the book binder, the boot maker, etc. Follow the presentations of Revolutionary City as townspeople present happenings of the time. Take a carriage ride, but get there early to reserve a spot. You will be able to spend all day here.

There are two Jamestown sites: Jamestown Settlement with the replicas of the three ships, the English fort, and the Indian Village. Historic Jamestowne is the site of the original fort. Both are worth a visit. These sites will probably take at least a couple of hours to tour.

For dinner I recommend the King%26#39;s Arms tavern, but you will have to check the schedule to see if the restaurant is open the day you plan to be there. Make reservations now for whatever restaurant you do decide to eat in.

Hi, Lots to do in Colonial Williamsburg. And as RQT mentioned there are the 2 Jamestown sites. I see you only have one day, so if you do make it to the Jamestown end of the Colonial Parkway, (a beautiful drive), I would suggest visiting Historic Jamestown Island , the original site which was settled in 1607. And maybe saving the Jamestown Settlement for another time. The Island has a wonderful museum called ';The Archearium'; which houses thousands of artifacts found during the ongoing ';Jamestown Rediscover Project';. There is the original church tower, some monuments, ';New Towne';, guided Ranger tours, visitor center, gift shoppe and a small cafe. There is also a loop drive in a forested area of the island. Right before you get to the island is the Glasshouse, where costumed interpreters do glassblowing. Hope you enjoy your visit and will want to return again.
