En Route to Inn at Little Washington (from BIG Washington)

We%26#39;re coming from DC and going to the IALW on Saturday evening for my 30th birthday. We%26#39;re staying overnight (at one of the nearby, more reasonably-priced B%26amp;B%26#39;s instead of dropping a minimum of $750 on what we understand is a small, old, way overpriced room).

We%26#39;ll be driving from DC on Saturday and wanted to have a leisurely drive out there, but on the way were hoping to stop somewhere cute and quaint for lunch. While I know that it will be a big meal Saturday night, our reservation isn%26#39;t until 9 pm, so we%26#39;d like to grab a bite around noon or 1 to hold us over until dinner time. We don%26#39;t need a huge meal but are looking for recommendations on the way for lunch and/or wineries. An added plus if it%26#39;s a winery that serves lunch!

Following the most logical driving route from D.C. to Washington, this being 66W to 29 to Warrenton to 211 to Washington, there are two wineries in Amisville: Unicorn and Gray Ghost.

You don%26#39;t necessarily have to drive to Washington following that route. You could go further west on I-66 and go to The Plains. There is a place called the Rail Stop which I can recommend. Robert Duvall used to be the owner/partner, but I am not sure if he still is.
