The Weather in Williamsburg

Throughout the spring and summer seasons, there are many posts about the weather here in Williamsburg. Questions include ';Should I bring a jacket?'; ';Will it rain?'; ';Will it be too hot?';

Today is a perfect example of the vagarities of the weather in Williamsburg. This morning, the humidity was higher than the temperature -- humidity at 95%, temperature in the 70%26#39;s. By the noon hour, the humidity was high and the temperature had raised to 90 degrees; people were wilting all over town. But by 3:00 p.m., a thunderstorm roared through the area, bring high winds and driving rains, and folks ran for cover and wondered where thier umbrellas were. Now, the temperature is in the 60%26#39;s, and guests are strolling through CW, getting ready for their dinner and evening programs in sweaters and jackets.

So, in response to the many queries about the weather here in Tidewater Virginia, in the last 10 hours we went from oppresive humidity to 90 degree highs to rain to cool evening temperatures.

Life goes on! Come prepared, and enjoy your visit!
