Hello, I know its kind of soon, but we are planning a trip in August of 2010 and looking for a good place to stay.. there would be 5 of us(my wife and myself, and 3 children ages 3,12,15) Im probably gonna need something w/2 bedrooms and I would like a full kitchen so that we can cook(so we can keep cost down) We are on a tight budget so trying to keep cost as reasonable as possible..I checked out that kingston plantation as they seem to have the accomadations we looking for, but it does seem out of budget, any other places we should look at? thank you
Good place to stay with full Kitchen and room for 5?
We just got back from the Greensprings Resort. We traded a time share week to go there. It%26#39;s really nice, and the spacious accomodations you are looking for. While I was there, I heard them say they offered a really cheap rate to people that would go through the ';time share'; pitch. Not sure if you want to give up 2 hours of your time, but it could save you alot of money, and you could get a great place to stay for very little money. jonathan

We have (stayed at Marriott Fords Colony and Greensprings. (we are staying at the Marriott next week too) Marriott is for sure nicer hands down. We had issues at Greensprings and just didn%26#39;t find it in the same class as the Marriott. I am thinking that the Marriott would be more expensive but even if it is in the ballpark of your budget, would suggest it is worth it to spend a little more. We have traded and also rented from timeshare rental sites for both of our stays. We traded our Marriott studio in Ft. Lauderdale for our 2 bedroom at the Marriott for next week.
We are a family of six and last year someone recommended we try ebay for a rental - it worked beautifully - very inexpensive. We ended up staying at the Kingsgate in a three bedroom lockout. You can also look on redweek.com for a timeshare rental by owner. Usually much cheaper than booking directly through the resort. Also a little more predictable than ebay.
