Any suggestions for a romantic anniversary dinner?

Hi! I will be in Newport News for a trip with my husband and daughter, (her friend), and my parents for a short vacation. Since our anniversary falls during the week we will be there, my parents offered to take the girls out for the evening and allow us to have a nice anniversary dinner to ourselves. So - I would like to find a nice restaurant for a quiet romantic dinner. Any ideas???

Thanks!!!

Thank you!!!

They all sounds wonderful - decisions, decisions!

Hi Tracyann!

On the previous post-ers list, I have to say I LOVE the Boxwood Inn for a romantic dinner- old-fashioned southern elegance %26amp; charm, fireplaces, porches, the works.

To add to that list, my I also recommend these wonderful gems:

-Nawab Indian Cuisine- beautiful %26amp; intimate, with such an elegant decor %26amp; ambiance, %26amp; the service is impeccable.

-Crab Shack Seafood Restaurant on the James- located on the James River, with the option to eat inside, or on the outside screened-in porches, with a beautiful full view of the river

-Hyashi Sushi %26amp; Grill- I haven%26#39;t been here but it came highly recommended from a friend for a romantic intimate dinner

-The Melting Pot- I also haven%26#39;t been here but it came highly recommended as well

Also, if you cared to venture a little further northwest to Williamsburg, the colonial taverns there provide a very romantic %26amp; cozy experience. And for a full upscale dining experience, I highly recommend the Ford%26#39;s Colony Golf Club%26#39;s ';The Dining Room';- it is the only country club restaurant ever to garner AAA%26#39;s elusive Five Diamond Award- a status attained eight years in a row. They also feature an award-winning wine list. There is a dress code, but you understand why once you are inside- extremely fancy, %26amp; geared towards elegance %26amp; romance, you will feel ultra-elite.

Hope that helps! And congratulations on your anniversary!
