This is my first time to post on the Williamsburg forum so I am looking forward to getting some helpful advice from all the local experts out there.
We will be staying in Williamsburg August 20-24,
We are looking for somewhere to stay which offers a seperate bedroom for my husband and I, and at very least a big sofa bed for our 2 girls in the living room,(no partial room dividers!)if we could find a 2 bedroom suite at an affordable price even better!
I came across a good deal for Greensprings which offered 3rd night free,is this a good deal ,or is there a catch?
We are planning to visit Busch Gardens,Water Country and Colonial Williamsburg,so somewhere in easy driving distance would be great. All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Seperate room for the kids
Williamsburg has several fine timeshare resorts, all located within easy access to the places you plan to visit. Names include Marriott Manor at Ford%26#39;s Colony; Kingsmill Resort; King%26#39;s Creek Plantation; Greensprings Plantation; Williamsburg Plantation;,and Wyndham Resorts. All have one and two bedroom lodgings, along with kitchens, and many are running specials right now to combat the anticipated and much talked about lull in tourism. For more information each can be ';Googled'; and reviews are found here at TA. Compare prices to determine which may be the best for you.
In addition, there are several suite hotels in town -- Embassy Suites, Homestead Suites, Quality Suites; Fairfield Suites, etc. all which have bedrooms and fold out sofas.
Enjoy your visit.
Seperate room for the kids
We (husband,2 daughters,me) are staying at Woodlands Hotel and Suites July 6-10 in a 1 bedroom suite. Price is good and includes a continental breakfast. We liked the fact that it is close (walking distance) to CW visitor center, has a nice pool and bike rental onsite. A 4 night stay includes passes to CW.
I noticed alot of the hotels call large rooms with partial dividers ';suites'; without that all important door that closes.
I will write report after our trip.
