Hi there, We are thinking of coming down to Virginia Beach in August with our 3 kids and also want to take a day trip to Busch Gardens. Is there a certain area we should stay in Virg. Beach..also certain areas to avoid? Thanks so much. We are hoping to rent a condo

The resort area is rather self-contained, and there are no parts you need to avoid. The resort can be divided into sections: north beach, south beach, and beach street (the middle). The extreme ends (north and south) tend to be somewhat quieter with fewer people around. Regardless of which section you land in, you%26#39;ll be along the boardwalk where you can enjoy all the nightly free entertainment.
If you find a condo in Sandbridge, then you will be a 30-minute drive to the resort strip. Sandbridge is a residential beach with no hotels and only a couple restaurants. Lots of people prefer the laid-back atmosphere and convenience of renting a vacation home.
If you find a condo in Croatan, then you will be about 10-15 minutes away from the resort area. Like Sandbridge, this is a residential beach.
If you find a condo in Chick%26#39;s Beach, then you%26#39;re not at the beach at all -- you%26#39;ll be on the Chesapeake Bay. There are a few fun restaurants here, but not much else ';touristy.';
Best of luck in your planning. Let us know how else we can help you.
