You might want to look at Maximum Guided Tours. They have one day tours on Thursdays, according to their website. maximumguidedtours.com/…Anchor-47857

Maximum Guided Tours in Williamsburg does a weekly guided tour to D.C. Here%26#39;s a link to thier website:

The Washington tour overview is opened at the listing on the left of the page.

Hope this helps.

Wow Thankds for the quick responses. By any chance are there any others, that possibly go on Fri.? She wants to go while we%26#39;re at the waterpark. Thanks again

Sorry, those are the only ones I%26#39;m aware of. If you%26#39;re staying in a hotel, you might contact the front desk or concierge and ask if they know of any others, though. Or if you%26#39;re a AAA member, you could contact them and ask.

Good Morning, I wanted to apologize that we didn%26#39;t have anything available to take your family from Williamsburg to Washington, D.C. for a city tour the week you were looking at. We do offer tours to Washington, D.C. each Thursday. An alternative to taking our bus tour to Washington, D.C., would be to take our private tour which is where we give you an Oleta driver for the day and he takes you on the exact itinerary that we take our bus groups on. You may view this itinerary at http://www.oleta.com. The cost for the day would be $175 and you can have as many people you would like that can fit in your personal vehicle. This cost is just for the driver and does not include any meals, parking or tram rides at Arlington Cemetary. The benefit of this option is that the day can be customized to see the things you most want to see in DC.

We hope this helps and thanks again for considering Oleta for your touring needs! Have a blessed day %26amp; Happy Touring!

Bumping this up...

Does anybody know about Tidewater Tours?

I am thinking that this is the one we took years ago.

We enjoyed it. A nice breakfast stop, and Supper at a decent Buffet restaurant were included.

Also, does anybody know if there is any access to the Capitol on these tours.

We actually had a mini-tour of a common area, like a large ornate lobby/rotunda.... But, all the tours now just list %26#39;photo stop%26#39;.

There is a Tidewater Tours out of Maryland, that comes here to Williamsburg on occasion, but I am not familiar with a local Company with that name. Maximum Guided Tours, as mentioned previously, conducts a tour to D.C. from Williamsburg, typically on Thursdays.

Tidewater Touring does operate in the Williamsburg area - it was started in 1990 by a retired Navy chief named Barry. My wife and I did a tour of DC with Tidewater Tours in 1994 when the company consisted mostly of Barry and a single bus which could carry about 15 or 16 passengers. The company%26#39;s web site is www.tidewatertouring.org

Wow. -- had never heard of or seen them here in Williamsburg. Thanks for the correction, Rod.
