Suggestions please!

I will be staying at the Courtyard Dulles Airport in Chantilly next week. I have several hours to kill during the day and was wondering if there are any malls or pretty much anything else within walking distance or near this hotel. I won%26#39;t have a car.

All suggestions welcome. Thank you!

No malls. A shopping center you can walk to that has a large grocery store and a few places to eat. Nothing remarkable.

If you really want something to DO that is significant, you can go to Sully Plantation which is just up the road, or over to the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum.

Sully was built by one of the Lees at the end of the 1700s

Udvar-Hazy is nice-new, beautiful. The Space Shuttle Endeavor is in there, as well as the mother ship model from Close Encounters of the Third Kind (my favorite). But if aviation history is boring boring...I wouldn%26#39;t bother. There is an IMAX theater there.

For both of these spots though, I would suggest you call a cab. While they are less than 5-minutes from your hotel, they are off major highways and attempting to walk there would be foolishly dangerous.

If you REALLY want a mall, there is one about 15 minutes up route 50, but again, you would need a cab, and there isn%26#39;t anything there that you couldn%26#39;t find elsewhere, so I don%26#39;t know if it would be worth the effort for killing a few hours.
