Beach Chair rentals

My husband and I are planning a quick trip to VB in between a family visit to Franktown. We are staying at a no frills hotel across the street from the beach and wanted to know if you can rent beach chairs, etc. anywhere in the area?

Thanks!!

Beach Chair rentals

There are beach chair and umbrella rentals on the beach. I can%26#39;t find anything that says their locations.

You can also rent bicycles at Cheri%26#39;s: http://www.cheriesbikes.com/

There are also several Sunsations stores up and down the main drag, Atlantic Ave. Everything you need for the beach.

Which hotel have you found? We%26#39;re always looking for good deals.

Beach Chair rentals

Thanks for the info. We are looking at the 19 Atlantic Hotel. It is definitely no frills and small rooms but only a block from the beach at $89/night in August and most importantly seems fairly new and clean. Everything else is incredibly expensive and doesn%26#39;t look so great. Unfotunately we have to be frugal this year!!

So if we go for it I will let you know how it was.

Lots of good info here in this older topic. Locations of the rentals and prices.

Am I missing something? I see the Sunsation store locations but not the rentals.

Bostongirl1, do let us know about how the hotel works for you. Can we help with anything else?

Sorry explorer, I thought I had put that in my post on that topic. They are stationed at about every entrance to the beach from the boardwalk. They set the chairs and umbrellas up in the mornings and they are usually sitting close to the big white boxes (about 4-5 ft tall) close to where they set the chairs up. If you just go to the chair you want, the worker will come to you.

BUT, it is much cheaper to buy your own umbrella and chair from Sunsations than to rent for the day. And if you don%26#39;t want to lug it home, lay it out by the trash can or ask someone sitting close by if they want it when you are done.

Thanks for the info. I will let you know how the hotel was when we get back.

Leisa, we bring our own but I see them all the time but it doesn%26#39;t register exactly which streets. The compulsive in me has an idea to sometime walk the boardwalk and note every restaurant, activity, business, foot rinse off, etc:)

Thanks.

Not sure what you mean explorer, but we always stayed at Station One, and at that entrance to the beach from the board walk (24th street), there is a BIG white wooden box about halfway between the ocean and the boardwalk (They use it to store equipment such as umbrellas in) and a guy sets up the chairs every morning. He has the chairs that are to the left and to the right of that entrance (on either side of the wooden handicap accessible walkway to the water). I have noticed when I walked the boardwalk, that at about every entrance (or at the very least it is every other entrance) to the beach/ocean from the boardwalk, about halfway to the water, there is a BIG white box and a guy (or girl I guess) who sets up the chairs and umbrellas. They usually sit in a chair close to the box. If you go to a chair and put your stuff down, the guy (or girl) will come to you (with a clipboard) to get your money.

Yes, I%26#39;ve seen them on the sand close to the boardwalk too. Big white box. Thing is there seem to be several up and down the beach. Lots available.

Anybody know what a days chair rentals usually runs??? I seem to remember it being pretty expensive, like $25 for the day??? What about umbrellas???
