2 bedroom suite at Greensprings v 1 bed suite at Kings Creek

I would love to hear your opinions on which one I should book.Due to a special offer at Greensprings there is`nt much difference in the price of a 2 bedroom suite there and a 1 bedroom suite at Kingscreek, though the location close to Busch gardens appeals to me at Kings Creek.

The other thing to consider is which one would be closer to the best shopping malls and restaurants on Richmond rd?

Greensprings is the more centrally located of the two, closer to the Richmond road corridor. Kings Creek is south of town, near Busch Gardens and Water country. The two bedroom suites at Greensprings are quite spacious, and if golf is in your plans, Greensprings is on the Williamsburg National Golf course.

Think I will go with Greensprings, the only other even cheaper deal I came across was for The Historic Pohatan Resort, but it seems to get more negative reviews than Greensprings ,are they justified in your opinion?

Between Powhatan and Greensprings, Greensprings is the better kept resort with more positive reviews.

Enjoy your visit!

We own at Greensprings, the units are very spacious and have the added bonus of a washer %26amp; dryer. The master bath has a large jetted soaking tub and a king size bed in the bedroom. Many units have been recently renovated. The resort also has an indoor and outdoor pool, mini golf and playground. The view of the golf course from most of the resort are awesome.

I was at Greensprings last week. We really enjoyed the resort. Rooms were great, staff was friendly, and the pool area is really nice. While we were there, we took a ';time share'; tour. We were taken to the Powatan resort. I had read some negative reports about it, so I was surprised we were being taken there to look at their rooms. Diamond resorts manages it now. We were taken to a ';renovated'; room, and it was really nice inside. Granite countertops, stainless steel kithen appliances and huge showers. It was ';top of the line';. I asked the salesman if all of the rooms were like this, and he said no. Only a few had been renovated. So the Powatan resort is being remodeled, but only a few select rooms have been done.

Greensprings here I come!,thanks for yor advice everyone.

We also have the choice between Greensprings and King%26#39;s Creek, thru my inlaws RCI timeshare week.

I did some research, and I think we have also decided on Greensprings!

Looking at the floor plans at King%26#39;s Creek, they are kind of, well, %26#39;different%26#39;. In the cottages, it looks like the units with the private deck or patio and the large jet tub are the Lock-out studio units. (they are known to be very very small....) That means that if you get the two bedroom, without the third bedroom (the lock-out) you are kind of out of luck.

The beds at King%26#39;s Creek are reported to be very hard. The beds at Greensprings are reported to be comfortable.

Since we could not be guaranteed a unit in the newest section of King%26#39;s Creek, I think we will go for Greensprings.

I am happy I saw this thread!

To the person who started this thread....

I had typed %26#39;studio%26#39;... but these are actually considered one bedroom efficiency type suites. They are very small. There are no 1 bedrooms in the Towns section of King%26#39;s Creek. (they are now renting the newest Estates section, but you would probably not get that one....)

I would DEFINITELY go for a 2br at Greensprings. : )
