I was reading about this today, and thought I would share.
The Historic Triangle Shuttle Service that connects Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown will begin service for the 2009 season on March 16, and continue through Nov. 1. The two Parkway routes, one from the Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center to Jamestown, and the other from the VC to Yorktown, are scheduled to depart every half hour beginning at 9 a.m.
Once at Jamestown, visitors can use a shuttle around Jamestown that will stop at Historic Jamestowne, including the glasshouse, and Jamestown Settlement. At Yorktown, the Yorktown trolley provides transportation from Yorktown Battlefield and Yorktown Victory Center, with stops in between, including in the Riverwalk Landing area.

Thank you Zoey, I%26#39;m glad to hear about that. Might have to use it, especially the trolley in Yorktown.
Historic Triangle Shuttle Service
If you get a chance to go to the Yorktown Battlefield, (the National Park Service part), I highly recommend the guided battlefield tour. I took a 1 hour walking tour, given by one of the park rangers, a few weeks ago, and it was extremely interesting and really brought the battle and the various players to life in a way that I had never experienced before. It was much more informative than the self-drive auto tour. Before you go on any tour, watch the film that%26#39;s available in the visitor%26#39;s center there.
This shuttle is a great service, which is not used nearly as extensively as it should be. It%26#39;s very convenient because the busses pick up and drop at the entrances to each venue, so there%26#39;s no need to hunt for parking. Since it travels down the Colonial Parkway, it gives everyone an opportunity to enjoy the sheer beauty of that wonderful drive.
So take advantage of the shuttle service as you make your way about the historic triangle!
Thanks for the information! I went to the website you posted but couldn%26#39;t find any info there. Is there another site that would have the schedule and map, etc?
Thanks!
This has some info on it: nps.gov/colo/parknews/historic-triangle-shut…
Just wanted to add that this upcoming weekend, June 20 and 21, the National Park service is waiving admissions to all parks nationwide, which include our local Historic Jamestowne nad Yorktown Battlefield, to encourage Americans to visit their national parks. There will be two other weekends throughout the year.
Wonderful! Thanks!
Susan
