Last minute bookings

Any advice on last minute bookings for one night stays? Am willing to go on less than 24 hours notice. Problem is, it is a holiday - July 4th :)

Last minute bookings

You can try www.lastminutetravel.com although I don%26#39;t see that it distinquishes among oceanfront, across from the ocean, and across town, which is a factor when coming to the beach.

You can go to Expedia. While their ';deal and offers'; doesn%26#39;t offer VB in their drop down box, when you just fill in the ';book a trip'; you%26#39;ll see prices crossed out and reduced a week or so ahead of the date one is asking for. If you want VB, keep you eye on the ones actually in VB per se.

While the rest of the Convention and Visitors Bureau site is terrific, I can%26#39;t trust www.vbfun.com%26#39;s ';book your trip now';. This offers drop downs so you can search by pricing as well as date. Very handy in theory. But I%26#39;ve already experienced prices higher than the %26#39;grouping%26#39; they were put in and also no availability. I searched July 4, all prices. There are 6 they say are available in the mid range and 10 in the range over $199...but when you go to the %26#39;book now%26#39; those I looked up were either closed out or higher priced. But...the high price might not be an issue for you so give it a try.

If you have already tried to book, a hotel has some of its rooms and the booking sites have some of the rooms so try both.
