The wife and I are heading to Alexandria this weekend and are trying to find a nice place for dinner. We are debating between Restaurant Eve (Bistro Area) and La Bergerie. Thoughts? Are there other places that you would recommend?

Trip this weekend!
Sudden trip for three days. Staying at Embassy Suites. Two kids - 8 and 10. I%26#39;ve never been to the area - what would you recommend that kids would enjoy? I%26#39;d also like to get around w/o the car. Mt. Vernon? Smithsonian? Anything w/i walking distance?

If you%26#39;re staying at the Embassy Suites in Alexandria, you%26#39;ll be within walking distance of the Metro. You can take the Blue line from Alexandria/King Street station to the Smithsonian easily. Within walking distance is the George Washington Masonic National Memorial, as well as Old Town Alexandria and historic sites such as Gadbsy%26#39;s Tavern and Christ Church.
